The effects of feed additives based on the wastes of poultry processing on the productive performance and meat quality in broiler chicks

The productive performance and meat quality were studied in broiler chicks fed diets supplemented with easily digestible animal derived protein additives produced by short-term intense thermal treatment enzymatic hydrolysis of keratin- collagen-containing wastes slaughter processing poultry. trial was performed on 4 treatments Ross-308 broilers (50 birds per treatment, from 1 to 38 days age). Control diet fishmeal as source; 2 3 the substituted hydrolysate feathers (keratin-containing wastes) without probiotic preparation, respectively; a mixture hydrolysates preparation. It found that average live bodyweight at age higher all experimental compare control. best results 3: significantly 8.6% (P<0.001) while feed conversion ratio lower 6.7% control; this also featured yields carcass parts quality.
